Her Amazing Journey from Italy to Indian Cinema
Paola Bonacina is a 37-year-old Italian actress, journalist, host, speaker, model, and psychologist. After graduating from university with a degree in psychology, she decided to pursue her passions by studying acting at various academies in Milan. She has participated in photo shoots and fashion shows for various brands, including Calzedonia. In 2019, she won the Anagrama International beauty contest, organized in collaboration with national organizations, consolidating her international career. As a journalist and host, she has participated in various football-related television programs on Lombardia Sat and Telelombardia Top Calcio 24 in Mimmo Pesce show (2025) and co-hosted events with important television personalities such as journalist and host Edoardo Raspelli in Edoardo Raspelli… L’Italia che mi piace (2023). She has written about current affairs in Il Giornale del Ricordo, L’Ora, and II Giornale dei Navigli. She was a speaker for Radio Milan Inter, hosted her own program Todo Caliente on WPR about Latin American music, and in 2022, she was a speaker on Radio Studio+. She is currently a radio speaker on the program Rascal on Radio Studio 107 Milan.
As an actress, she has distinguished herself in several films by the award-winning and irreverent director Roger Fratter, Mery Coltrane (2019), in Ruderi d’amore: Ignorati ignoranti (2020) and in Inner observer (2025). She was awarded by the NEZ Film Festival as best leading actress in the short film Narciso d’autunno (2024), later included in the trilogy Women Out, Females Inside (2025), also by Roger Fratter. She lent her voice as a voice actress in VIS – Vampire Hypnotic (2023) by Roger Fratter. She gained attention abroad and in particular in India by playing the lead role in the film Graasan (2024) and in “The Bridge Through Eternity” (2025) by the visionary director Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar. In her future projects, she will return to Kolkata again Cthis year as an actress for director Sudeep Ranjan’s next film Sarkar. She describes herself as a curious, lively woman with many interests, with a strong predilection for art, travel, and adventure. She loves challenges and putting herself to the test while remaining the “girl next door.”
